Lochcarron - Things to Do
Lochcarron and its surroundings has so many opportunities for hill walking, sea kayaking, cycling, golfing (9 hole golf course) and fishing on the river Carron.
Day trips to the Isle of Skye can easily be made, the bridge over the sea to Skye is less than 40 minutes drive away.
The start of the Bealach na Ba is a 10 minute drive away – translated to “the pass of the cattle”, it is the highest mountain pass in Scotland and leads to Applecross.
A drive up the peninsula to the beautiful village of Sheildaig makes for a magical circular drive and day out.
The picturesque village of Plockton, iconic Eilean Donan Castle and Torridon hills are all easily reachable.
